He passed the matriculation examination from Islamia High School, Amritsar, and entered Islamia College, Lahore in 1910. F. in 1912. A passed the test but could not pass. He entered Dayal Singh College, Lahore in 1913 but had to give up his studies due to ill health and the death of his brother. In 1917 he joined the police as an inspector. In 1921, after hearing the speech of Ameer-e-Shariat Syed Ata Shah Bukhari in a meeting of the Khilafah Movement, he resigned and joined the ranks of national workers. 

He was arrested for the first time on February 14, 1922, in connection with the Turkish Mawalat movement and was sentenced to six months. Inspired by the horrific atrocities he witnessed in prison, he wrote a book entitled "Hell in the World". At the same time, under the name of "Beloved of Punjab", he wrote the conditions of Waris Shah and Heer Ranjha. In 1922, when Siddhi Tehreek-e-Alam-e-Shabab was on the rise, he took a strong stand against it and composed a book regarding the matter named "The Tribulation of Apostasy and Political Tactics". He was elected a member of the Punjab Legislative Council in 1924 and continued to serve the country for twelve years. You have done a very useful job as a member of the council.

He was kept in Gorakhpur Jail. In the same prison, he wrote "Life". Commenting on this, Prof. Al Ahmed Sarwar wrote: Calling life a mere novel or fiction would be cruel to the living. This is a gallery. In which different pictures of the world and different impressions of these pictures are seen scattered. The structure of the book is symbolic and reminiscent of the books of the Middle Ages which were based on a dream, a journey to the upper world, and the interpretation of that dream. In other words, it is also a book of repentance. Chaudhry Afzal Haq has been very successful in copying the biography of the people who are seen walking on the stage of life and making this copy into its original. 

He has also made the mission of serving the people very clear. During this time he expressed "Gems", "Awareness" and "Opportunity of India". He was arrested for the fourth time in 1939 in connection with the World War II movement against military recruitment and was sent to Rawalpindi Jail for a year and a half. In the same prison, he completed "Mahboob-e-Khuda" and compiled a collection of letters addressed to his kids which were distributed after his demise under the name "Khatut-e-Afzal Haq". Here he made a book in English on the Hindu-Muslim issue named "Pakistan and Choot".
