Mushahidat e Haram by Amin Ahsan Islahi Books Urdu PDF free download or read online from this blog. In 1958, Maulana Amin Ahsan Islahi traveled to perform Hajj. What you came across during this journey of about three months, you summed it up on a piece of paper called "Observations of the Haram". Writing a travelogue just for the sake of storytelling was not part of Maulana's mood. As he wrote in his introductory speech that he had no intention of writing a travelogue,

but during the Hajj he noticed in the minds of the pilgrims the tangled questions about Hajj which had to be solved by Maulana. ۔ On the other hand, the people were disturbed by the official restrictions of the governments and it was necessary to draw their attention to their reforms. And with the material progress in the Third Holy Hijaz, the rapidly spreading effects of Western civilization made them restless. For these reasons, Maulana Islahi considered it necessary to write a travelogue.

This journey of Maulana Islahi is the journey of a sincere student who seems to be wandering in the thought of finding the relationship between the seeker and the desired and tying the pact of loyalty with it. That is why he writes down his observations as he feels, without any addition or subtraction. Maulana has expressed this in these words at the beginning of this travelogue.

"In this travelogue, I have mentioned only those events and circumstances which left an imprint on my heart. I have taken those impressions from the page of a sincere heart and put them on the pages of paper. He did not insist on memorizing anything, nor did he try to embellish it. Nor has he tried to hide anything that is on the page of the heart. ”(P. 2)

In this travelogue, on the one hand, Maulana has summed up his observations, experiences and impressions as a religious scholar, and on the other hand, the thoughts and philosophy of Hajj, the greatness of Bait-ul-Allah, the exaltation and status of the Holy Shrine of the Prophet and the pilgrims. Along with the virtues, his slips have also been described in a very simple and unpretentious way by molding his heart's feelings and emotions.

Although the travelogue contains all the details about the holy places and the details of worship, Maulana's main focus is on the internal experience and observation that most pilgrims go through, but the heart event is different for each one. While the external image of the great gathering of Hajj is seen in it, the image of this internal relationship is also seen which the pilgrims feel as per their ability towards Allah and His Messenger on the level of faith and emotion. The purpose is to create a world of experience and observation through the combination of entry and exit, in which, while breathing, a person becomes absorbed in the spiritual state and finds himself engaged in the circumambulation of the Kabah.

Outside of these realms of passion and faith, one can see the true color of life, the market of greed, the state of the soul, the scenes of narcissism, the bustle of the market of civilization, and above all the effects of Western civilization which The natural beauty of the land of Hijaz, its desolation and originality has been distorted and which Maulana is sometimes seen searching in the gardens around Madinah and sometimes in the old streets and bazaars of Madinah he is seen searching for the stones which Had seen the splendor of the forefathers of the first century and the manifestation of mercy and grace. He shared with everyone what Maulana felt during this journey, what came to his notice, and the wealth of faith and belief with which he was blessed.

In 1959 this 172-page travelogue was published in the monthly Al-Munbar in Faisalabad and later in the monthly Misak in Lahore in several series. Maulana intended to publish it in book form but due to his other engagements, the matter was ignored. Eventually, after his death, Maqbool-ur-Rahim Mufti, one of his devotees, compiled it in book form. According to the compiler: "This travelogue has been published without any additions in the order established by the author." The waqf of Arafat is mentioned in the episodes published in the book, but it is not mentioned in this book at all.
