His 1st book on travel was Munhnjo Saagar Munhnjo Sahil, that was revealed in 1971 and won the Asian country Writers order Award. He was additionally awarded Tamgha-e-Imtiaz on twenty-three March 2011, by the Governor of Sindh Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan on behalf of President of Asian country Asif Ali Zardari, for his contributions in Sanskrit and Urdu Literature.Shaikh joined Asian country National Shipping Corporation as Junior engineer in 1968 until Chief Engineer in 1976 and served on varied different ships for next twelve years. He became a senior lecturer and principal of Asian country National Shipping Corporation Marine school, Karachi, Pakistan. He was the visiting lecturer Ungku Omar polytechnic, Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia. He was then appointed an officer to blame of the engineering Department at "Maritime Academy Malaysia", Malacca, from 1983 to 1990.
